  1. Cabot Edewaard’s family has a deeply-rooted history in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Five generations of the Cabot family have played a significant role in the development of the region. The group is named after Frederick Mortimer Cabot II, a general contractor who moved to Jupiter, Florida in 1893. Shortly after his arrival, he purchased land surrounding the Jupiter railroad station and began building streets and roads.
