Scroll: a multiplexed pixel-oriented display device

Scroll is a multiplexed pixel-oriented display device.
A multiplexed hexagonal(hexel) oriented display offers many advantages. 1. More efficient use of space. 2. simpler driving electronics can be used 3. reduced power consumption 4. triangular subpixel (trixels) allow greater depth, resolution, density, for image display. 5. Fewer wires are needed. Scroll creates an object-state or 3D display of a 2D image with the use of a depth map and hexel (hexagonal pixel polarization (sub pixels are made of trangle pixels or trixels. (a hexagonal color dye-based transparent pixel) to create a 3D image or "object-state". Scroll is a pixel-oriented display. The device uses pixels to create a parallax barrier rather than a physical screen grating. A hexagonal pixel(hexel) multiplexed display system would allow a vast array of imaging options. The idea of multiplexing a pixel-oriented display(i.e. creating a parallax barrier from a pixel-oriented display) is the key to the Scroll device. The scroll device is based on the concept of a digital grating system not a physical grating system.
*(the image above is an example of a 3D object-state) A 3D depth map system is created from a 2D image using displacement with a depth map and multiplexing hexels.
